Ready for Agentic Commerce
A new way to shop is here, and it changes how loyalty has to work. Loyal Guru is already agentic-ready — connected to every agent and protocol shaping this new era
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Agentic commerce is still in its infancy — the standards, the surfaces, and even the vocabulary are still being written. At Loyal Guru, we're actively researching this shift and building the tools to help you show up ready at every stage of it, from discovery to the close of the transaction.
AGENTIC COMMERCE READY
Loyal Guru. Built to Win the
Agentic Commerce Race
A personalized, profitable loyalty and promotions layer — accessible to any agent, on any surface.
It's a new era of commerce. The businesses that show up ready are the ones who win it.
Point of view — three fronts to compete on:
Discoverability — if an agent can't read it, it can't buy it. Businesses need their core incentives structured so agents can find them as naturally as a shopper would.
Value — real value for people, and for their agents. Businesses need an incentives strategy built for genuine value in an agentic world, not a race to the lowest price.
Engagement — a new era of commerce needs a new engagement playbook. Businesses have to use loyalty to give customers a reason to identify themselves, rather than letting a generic agent shop on their behalf.
That's exactly where Loyal Guru comes in: an agentic-ready promo engine built to help you compete on all three fronts, wherever the purchase happens. We stay protocol-agnostic by design — ACP, UCP, and whatever comes next can all plug into the same engine, so you build the experience once and extend it as the ecosystem evolves.

UNDERSTANDING THE SHIFT
What Is Agentic Commerce, Really?
Agentic commerce isn't one thing. It's a spectrum — and most of it isn't built yet.
From an AI answering a product question to an agent completing the purchase on its own.
It's a spectrum, not a single experience. A shopper asking ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude to compare products and then buying it themselves. An AI agent embedded in a retailer's own perimeter — a smarter search bar or shopping assistant — deciding what to recommend or add to cart. Eventually, a fully autonomous agent purchasing on someone's behalf with no step-by-step approval.
Most of the industry is still at the early end of that spectrum. Standards are competing, not settled. In-chat checkout has already been tried and partly rolled back in favor of sending shoppers to the merchant's own site. Much of what's live today is limited to the US.
Three moments decide the outcome, regardless of where the purchase happens:
Discovery — whether an agent can find and correctly represent your product at all.
Decision — what makes an agent, or the shopper behind it, choose your product over an alternative.
Transaction close — whether what was shown earlier in the journey still holds true when the purchase is confirmed.

Across all three, something has to be present and able to shape the outcome — that's the layer we look at next.
WIN THE MOMENT OF INTENT
Loyal Guru is the layer that influences the decision across the entire agentic commerce purchase cycle
Loyal Guru is built to influence the choice at the exact moment intent turns into a transaction — whichever surface the purchase happens on.
Surfacing — the moment of discovery.
When a shopper asks Gemini, ChatGPT, or another assistant for a product, your loyalty tier or active promotion needs to be part of what the agent sees and can display — a member price, a bundle, a personalized discount shown right alongside the product itself.

Applying — the moment of checkout.
Where in-chat checkout exists — today mainly through protocols like ACP inside ChatGPT — the offer has to travel with the cart: the discount, the tier benefit, or the reward applied automatically as the cart is built, not lost in the handoff between agent and merchant systems. (Visual placeholder: mockup of a cart/checkout summary inside a chat interface showing an applied discount or loyalty benefit line-item.)

Closing — the moment of payment.
At the point the transaction actually completes, the promotion or loyalty redemption has to reconcile with the payment itself — points earned, a coupon redeemed, a tier benefit confirmed — the same way it would at a till or on your own site. (Visual placeholder: mockup of a payment confirmation / receipt showing points earned or a redeemed reward, similar to a checkout confirmation screen.)

The common thread: Loyal Guru is built to be that pivotal piece — an agentic-ready promo decisioning engine giving retailers every tool to influence the moment of intent, at each of these three stages, wherever it happens. Whoever owns that moment keeps the margin, the personalization, and the reason a customer stays recognizable — agent or not.
THE QUESTION EVERY RETAILER SHOULD BE ASKING
When an agent buys on your customer's behalf, who still influences that decision?
Agentic commerce doesn't remove the need for control — it just moves where control has to be designed in.

Start with a product catalog agents can actually read.
Structured data, real-time pricing, live availability, clear eligibility rules — before an agent can apply your loyalty tier or promotion, it needs to discover and trust your product in the first place. Clean catalog data is the entry ticket; visible loyalty and promo incentives are what make the product win once it's there.

Whoever influences the incentive shown, shapes the outcome.
If a third-party agent decides which discount to surface without your promo logic in the loop, you're no longer running a promotion — you're subsidizing someone else's recommendation engine. Influencing that moment is exactly what our promo decisioning engine already does for millions of transactions today, and it shouldn't be handed to a channel you don't control.

Make sure loyalty travels with the shopper, not just the product.
Logins and cookies weaken as buying moves into agent interfaces, but identity doesn't have to. That's why we support UCP identity linking — the open standard that lets a shopper securely authorize an agent to act on their behalf at checkout, the same way they already do in a browser. With that authorization in place, the agent can access their loyalty pricing, order history, and preferences, so they're still recognized as a member, and still reachable with the right offer, no matter which agent completed the purchase.
The standards aren't final yet. Build your promo decisioning to work across protocols, not locked into one, so you're not rebuilding it every time the ecosystem shifts.
Agentic commerce is a new channel, not a new owner of the customer relationship — as long as the tools that influence every offer are still yours. That's the piece Loyal Guru is built to provide, ready today, whatever comes next.
